Brown Crab Orchard is package on pallets standing on edge, “Standup”, or laying flat. Pieces typically start at “Dinner Plate” size and larger. Customers desiring larger pieces should consider purchasing “Standup” material. Crab Orchard is sold by weight.
Gray Crab Orchard “Flagstone is a popular product for Patio’s and Walkway’s. Smooth surface or “cleft” makes it an excellent choice. Gray Crab Orchard is available in two general colors, Steel Gray and Jamestown Gray. Steel Gray pictured to the left.
Steel Gray Crab Orchard is generally a silver color and Jamestown Gray is a dark gray. Jamestown Gray is favored by many because if its very consistent thickness, large piece size and its consistent dark gray color. Crab Orchard is sold by weight.
Blue Slate, often referred to as “Cherokee” is a classic southern stone. This stone can be found in and around Atlanta landscapes as far back is the late 1800’s. A dark gray color, with a slightly textured surface or “cleft”.
Blue Slate is packaged on pallets and is sold by weight. Pieces of this material range in thickness from 1 ½ inches to 2 ½ inches. Piece size range from small dinner plate and up. Blue Slate is an extremely hard stone, pieces often fracture into long, narrow pieces.
Brown Slate is mined from the same quarries as the Blue Slate. Brown Slate has a higher iron content than its sister, Blue Slate, giving it a warm brown color. Variegation in this stone can contain the blue colors found in Blue Slate as well as dark brown to black colors.

Thin Fieldstone Veneer is often used for walkways and small patios. 1 ½ to 2½ inches thick and a naturally weathered warm gray to brown color. Pieces are smaller than found in the Crab Orchards and Slates. Used in areas where a rustic look is desired.
Thin Fieldstone Veneer is package on pallets and is sold by weight. Because of the naturally weathered surface the colors of this stone vary more than any other stone. When designing a landscape with this stone keep in mind the relatively small piece size of this stone.
